Pathchala Added Flavours to the Annual Bakery Festival

The season of “mists and mellow fruitfulness,” and the aroma of freshly baked cakes set up a perfect backdrop to host “Flavours of Bakery,” one of the most favourite Bakery festivals of the city. And what can a better place than Acropolis Mall to woo Santa Claus among jingle bells!  The Santa came and hugged the sweet little kids from ‘Pathchala’ and ushered the Merry Christmas in right spirit.

This is the fourth edition of Bakery Festival on the trot at the Acropolis Mall in association with Friends FM and Bhoj Adda. The 4-day Bakery Festival from 22nd to 25th December, 2022, christened as “Flavours of Bakery” treated cake lovers with an array of innovative cakes, pastries and ice creams. Brands like The Cake Boutique, Khadure, Royale Confectioners, Flurys, Cakelicious, Mambo’s, Turkisyano, Choco Fantasy, and The Lalit Great Eastern lured the foodies with their assortment of yuletide treat.

The brands displayed a wide array of cakes, pastries, cookies, ice creams. The Lalit Great Eastern sold their special dessert delicacies apart from their all time favourite Dundee cake and Plum cake. Cakelicious boasted of their Strawberry Tart, Chocolate Eclair and French Vol Au Vent besides cakes and pastries. Choco Fantasy was rejoicing with their Caramel filling Chocolate and Fresh Strawberry Dip apart from other assortments. Turkisyano presented their exotic Red Velvet Oreo ice cream. Flury’s came with their popular Fruit and Plum cake. The cake Boutique sprung up some surprises including tea cake, carrot cake, chocolate cupcakes, Mango pastries and cookies besides a host of other assortments.  Mambo’s came up with a plethora of options ranging from trendy  jar cakes , softy Moussue jars to cutie cupcakes and Boldy Brownies, yummy tarts , refreshing coolers in different flavours.

Actress Sayantani Guhathakurta graced the occasion and inaugurated the festival with K Vijayan, GM, Acropolis Mall, Rukmini Paul, President, Pathchala. The event started with the Christmas carol and dance by the children of Pathchala , an NGO working for poor children in and around Kalighat. The festival turned out interesting and unique with a cake eating contest among the children of Pathchala. Mr. K Vijayan, GM, Acropolis Mall also presented Christmas goodies to the children on behalf of Merlin Group.

Mrs. Rukmini Paul from Pathchala , expressed her gratitude towards Acropolis Mall and Merlin Group for presenting such  a lovely Christmas evening to  the children today. Merlin Group had  already provided its support on education of the children.

Pathchala is a non-profit organization located in Kalighat and it works for the less privileged children in and around Kalighat. The children of Pathchala enjoyed the freshly baked cakes and sweets on the day of inauguration.
